
The 2nd International Conference on Applied Physics and Materials Science (ICAPMS 2026) was successfully held online. A total of 60 participants joined the conference and discussions via the online platform. The conference featured plenary sessions, oral presentations, and poster displays. Eleven authors delivered oral reports, while fourteen authors presented posters. The online discussions were lively and the exchanges were highly active.

Following the opening ceremony, four internationally renowned scholars delivered high-level keynote speeches, presenting cutting-edge research achievements and development trends in the fields of applied physics and materials science. Professor Pan Lijia from Nanjing University shared core research directions and technological breakthroughs in the field of bionic electronic devices in his talk titled "The Origin and Development of Bionic Electronic Devices." Professor Nour Fathi Shehata Attia from the National Institute of Standards of Egypt focused on the challenges of wastewater pollutant treatment with her presentation, "Sustainable Nanomaterial-Based Solutions for Efficient Wastewater Treatment." Professor Saidur Rahman from Sunway University, Malaysia, explored the topic of "Development of Cost-Effective Enhanced Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage" in the energy conversion and storage domain. Professor Henry Hu from the University of Windsor, Canada, addressed corrosion protection for magnesium alloys in his report, "Electrolytic Plasma Oxidation Corrosion Protection Process for AM50 Magnesium Alloy." The four experts’ presentations combined academic depth with practical value, offering participants advanced academic perspectives and research ideas that sparked enthusiastic engagement online.

Following the keynote sessions, the conference proceeded to the oral presentation segment, during which eleven researchers from various universities and enterprises across China sequentially shared their latest research findings. Their research topics spanned multiple subfields of applied physics and materials science, including single-molecule diodes, actinide borole complexes, microwave ferrite materials, helium physical effects, synthetic normative theory, hydrogen peroxide synthesis, aluminum alloy welding, saline-alkali soil modification, electrocatalytic water oxidation, concrete interface structures, and boron nitride composites. These presentations showcased the diverse research and innovative explorations conducted by Chinese scholars in this field.

ICAPMS 2026 has established a cross-regional platform for scholars and experts worldwide in related fields, promoting academic exchange and collaboration among different countries and institutions.
